This book is the result of a fortunate convergence of two initiatives in which its organizers were involved at different stages. The first initiative was the stricto sensu graduate course on the international dimension of sti, offered since 2015 by the Graduate Program in Management (ppga) of the School of Economics, Business, Accounting and Actuary (fea) at the University of São Paulo (usp), with notable engagement from Brazilian and international students from a wide range of backgrounds and academic affiliations. The second initiative was the Science and Innovation Diplomacy Scholl (InnSciD SP), which, for seven years, has been offering conceptual and practical training for participants from Brazil and abroad. Fapesp funded its first edition.
